setting up our classroom
I'm still working on setting up our classroom area. Can't do as much or move as fast with pregnancy number four here! I finally got things settled in the cabinet my aunt gave us. Now it's a lot of sorting through and filing papers. The kids are excited about the school desks their poppy found. I've cleaned them up and the kids have already put their binders and notebooks inside of them for now. I even found a small binder for little Joey to do his "school work" in. I will be posting pictures soon. Unfortunately our multi-card reader is broken so I'm off to get a new one along with our groceries today. I'll post more updates as they come along.

Abby's dollhouse..more 12/09
Abby's dollhouse in progress December 2009
This is the divider wall for floor number one.
I added a wall where the roof is, to make two attic rooms.
This was next. I added floor number one.
This is how I started making this house. It was a dresser. I took the it apart, except for what you see and added the wood on top for a roof.
I made a doll house for Abby for Christmas. I have never done anything like this and have wanted to for a long time. I did not get to completely finish it, we need to add to more outside walls and finish painting.
School room 2009
Here are some pictures from September 2009 of our school room. This is a view of easel and computer desk.
This is where I had toy, craft supplies and some educational games stored.
Here is another view of that area above. There is also a picture of what we now use for workboxes. Previously they stored paper, scissors, glue, rulers, etc. We still use those boxes for that, but also use the same type of boxes for our workboxes.
This is a slightly better view of our "big desk". I used an old hollow door, covered with wood looking self adhesive paper. It currently holds two computers, plus other things needed (pens, pencils, paper etc.). This desk is going to be moved to our playroom for the kids to use to play on. They will be getting their own desks for this school year.

Our playroom/school room 2008
I'm curently rearranging our everchanging homeschool room. Here are some pictures of our school room from 2008 (when I had changed it into a playroom). This room was formerly our dining room and it is a small room. When I say small, I mean small. It is only about 9x8(can't remember exactly). The room no longer looks this way, I'll post new pictures later. This was the first way it was arranged after converting from dining room to playroom. I've seen so many great pictures of homeschool classrooms, but most are much bigger. I thought it might be nice to post these for others that may have only small rooms to work with as well. I have arranged and rearranged this room many times! Now, I'm rearranging it again!
